Community Guidelines

mahalkita.ph was built for Filipinos who are serious about finding meaningful connection — whether in the Philippines or anywhere in the world. Our community works because members treat each other with respect, honesty, and genuine intent.

These guidelines exist to protect everyone. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent banning — depending on severity. We take safety reports seriously and act on them promptly.

• ·Use your real name, real photos, and honest information.
• ·Do not impersonate another person or create a fictional identity.
• ·Do not use heavily filtered or AI-generated photos as your main profile picture.
• ·Do not misrepresent your location, age, or relationship status.
• ·One account per person — duplicate accounts will be removed.

• ·Treat every person on this platform as you would want to be treated.
• ·Rejection is part of dating — accept it gracefully. Do not harass someone who is not interested.
• ·Do not send unsolicited explicit photos or messages.
• ·Do not use slurs, hate speech, or language that degrades someone based on gender, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, disability, or any other characteristic.
• ·Do not body-shame, color-shame, or make demeaning comments about anyone's appearance.

• ·Never ask for or send money to someone you met on this platform. Romance scams are a serious crime.
• ·Do not share your home address, workplace, or other sensitive location with someone you have just met.
• ·When meeting in person for the first time, choose a public place and inform a trusted friend or family member.
• ·Do not share another user's private messages, photos, or information without their explicit consent.
• ·If someone makes you feel unsafe, block and report them immediately.

The following will result in immediate and permanent removal — no warnings:

• ·Any sexual content involving minors, or attempting to contact minors
• ·Threats of violence, extortion, or blackmail
• ·Sharing intimate images of another person without consent (illegal under RA 9995 and RA 11313)
• ·Operating a fake profile for the purpose of scamming or defrauding users
• ·Using the platform to recruit for illegal activities

• ·Do not advertise products, services, or businesses in your profile or in messages.
• ·Do not recruit users to other dating apps, social media platforms, or websites.
• ·Do not ask other users to move to WhatsApp, Telegram, or other platforms immediately — this is a common scam tactic.

• ·Answer the Puso compatibility questions honestly — they exist to find you better matches, not to game the algorithm.
• ·Keep your profile up to date. An outdated profile wastes everyone's time.
• ·Profile photos must show your face clearly. Group photos, pets-only photos, and heavily obscured images are not allowed as your primary photo.

If you encounter a profile or message that violates these guidelines:

• ·Use the in-app report button on any profile or message.
• ·Email contact@mahalkita.ph with details and screenshots if necessary.
• ·For urgent safety concerns, contact your local authorities directly — we are not a substitute for emergency services.

All reports are reviewed by our team. We treat them confidentially and will not reveal your identity to the reported user.

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations:

• ·Warning — for minor first-time violations
• ·Content removal — the offending content is deleted
• ·Temporary suspension — access is restricted for a defined period
• ·Permanent ban — account is permanently closed and cannot be re-created

You may appeal a ban by emailing contact@mahalkita.ph within 14 days. We will review the case and respond within 7 business days.

mahalkita.ph operates under Philippine law. The following laws, among others, apply to conduct on this platform:

• ·RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act) — sharing intimate images without consent
• ·RA 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) — online sexual harassment
• ·RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act) — online fraud, identity theft, cyberstalking
• ·RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act) — misuse of personal data

We cooperate with Philippine law enforcement when legally required to do so.
